Listening to Morari Bapu’s Ram Katha is like the fortune of listening to a thousand sacred names – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis
Yavatmal, Sept. 2025 : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that it is a rare fortune for all of us to listen to the Ram Katha in the voice of Morari Bapu. For generations we have been listening to the story of Lord Ram, but listening to it through Morari Bapu’s discourse is like the blessing of listening to a thousand sacred names (Sahasranam).
The Ram Katha Pravachan of Morari Bapu has been organized at the Chintamani Agricultural Produce Market Committee. On this occasion, Guardian Minister Sanjay Rathod, Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Tribal Development Minister Ashok Uike, Chairman of the National Backward Classes Commission Hansraj Ahir, MPs Sanjay Deshmukh and Balwant Wankhede, MLAs Balasaheb Mangulkar, Kishore Jorgewar, Raju Todsam, Adv. Ashish Deshmukh, Kisanrao Wankhede, Saitai Dahake, along with the organizers of the Ram Katha Dr. Vijay Darda and Rajendra Darda were present.
Chief Minister Fadnavis said, “The Ram Katha is the most beautiful story. Listening to it is like paving the path of life itself. Within the Ram Katha lies the essence and teaching of life. To hear this meaningful narrative from Morari Bapu is a moment of fortune for everyone. Lord Ram’s life is the embodiment of discipline and adherence to values, which is why he is revered as the ‘Maryada Purushottam’. The Ram Katha is a confluence of sacrifice, penance, radiance, discipline, and emotions. After five centuries, Lord Ram has now been enthroned at his rightful place in Ayodhya, and this is a matter of pride for every Indian.”
Speaking about the book “Pen and Purpose” based on the life of Jawaharlal Darda, the Chief Minister said that it sheds light on his life, his contribution to the freedom struggle, and his vision of a progressive Maharashtra. The book presents various aspects of his biography, including his contributions to culture, industry, and society. After Babasaheb Darda, Dr. Vijay Darda’s social initiatives continue to inspire society. He added that through Dr. Darda, the opportunity to have the blessed company of Morari Bapu had been possible.
Upon arriving at the Ram Katha venue, the Chief Minister felicitated Morari Bapu with a shawl and a coconut. Later, Dr. Vijay Darda and Rajendra Darda welcomed the Chief Minister. On this occasion, the Chief Minister released the book “Pen and Purpose” based on Jawaharlal Darda’s life. He also presented a special commemorative 100-rupee coin issued on the centenary year of Jawaharlal Darda’s birth to Morari Bapu.
