Under the Guidance of CM Sharma, Transportation Gets a New Momentum – Citizens Benefiting from Safe and Modern Travel Facilities

Jaipur, Sept 2025 . Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, transportation services in Rajasthan are steadily expanding. The government’s goal is to provide every citizen with safe, accessible, and modern travel facilities. In this direction, the introduction of new buses has not only made travel more convenient but also helped in managing traffic pressure effectively.

Extensive Expansion of Transport Services –

To make public transport affordable, safe, and modern, 160 Blue Line Express buses have been inducted into 12 depots under the budget announcement. These depots include Jaipur, Ajmer, Ajaymeru, Kotputli, Dholpur, Sawai Madhopur, Bhilwara, Vaishali Nagar, Vidyadhar Nagar, Shahpura, Hindaun, and Dausa. In addition, the purchase of 12 super luxury buses has further strengthened the fleet of Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation.

Faith Journeys Made Easier –

The state government is promoting religious tourism and providing devotees with easy travel facilities by operating buses on special routes. Direct and convenient transport services are now available to major pilgrimage centers such as Ayodhya, Govardhan, Salasar Balaji, Ramdeora, Shrinathji, Shri Karni Mata, Kainchi Dham, and Kailadevi.

Special Initiatives for Youth and Women –

Giving major relief to students, the government has provided free travel facilities for five days – from two days before an examination until two days after it. For the first time in the state, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a historic initiative was launched to provide two days of free travel for women, directly benefiting lakhs of women.

Respect and Relief for Senior Citizens –

Prioritizing the dignity and comfort of senior citizens, Chief Minister Shri Sharma increased the travel fare concession for passengers aged 60 to 80 years from 30 percent to 50 percent. This has given elderly travelers both financial relief and a sense of self-respect during their journeys.

Safe Travel with Panic Buttons –

In an important initiative to ensure passenger safety, especially for women, panic buttons have been installed in corporation buses. Through these, women passengers, differently-abled individuals, senior citizens, young children, and suddenly ill travelers can receive immediate assistance in any emergency. When a passenger presses the panic button, the information is instantly relayed to the Abhay Command Center. The command center traces the bus location, communicates with the conductor, and ensures immediate necessary action. Along with enhancing the safety of women passengers, this initiative has provided all citizens with the gift of smooth and secure travel.
