Food Minister Baghel Meets Families of Toxic Well Gas Victims.
Raipur : Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel today reached village Kuan in Navagarh development block of Bemetara district and attended the last rites of three villagers Shri Atmaram Sahu, Shri Ramkumar Dhruv and Shri Rakesh Sahu who died due to suffocation caused by poisonous gas and met the bereaved families and provided financial assistance of Rs. 25,000 each to the families of the three deceased for the last rites.
Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel consoled the bereaved families and prayed to God for the peace of the departed souls. He told the families that under Section 6-4 of the Revenue Book Circular, the three families will be given financial assistance of Rs. 4 lakh each. It is known that last Saturday, 55-year-old Shri Atmaram Sahu, 45-year-old Shri Ram Kumar Dhruv and 25-year-old Shri Rakesh Sahu died due to leakage of poisonous gas while they had descended into the well to repair the casing pipe in village Kuan of Navagarh development block of Bemetara district.
