Innovative Initiative by Rajasthan Accounts Service Council : Performance-Based Exam Successfully Conducted; Winners to Get International Study Opportunities

Jaipur, Sept 2025: Moving beyond the traditional seniority-based system, the Rajasthan Accounts Service Council (RACs), Jaipur launched an innovative performance-driven initiative on Saturday.

The event was addressed by Shri Vaibhav Galleria, Principal Secretary, Finance Department, who emphasized that while interpreting laws, rules, or provisions, the larger purpose of government and public welfare must be the priority. He noted that just as the Supreme Court interprets the Constitution and laws, officials should interpret rules at their level with the aim of providing quick relief to citizens and ensuring schemes are implemented promptly.

The Principal Secretary also stated that renaming of services will be considered by the department, praised the event’s organization, and extended best wishes to the winners.

Shri Lalit Verma, Chairman of the Council, highlighted that the time has come to reward officers based on performance. In line with this thinking, the council conducted the “Manthan-2025” special competitive examination for Rajasthan Accounts Service (RAcS) officers. The exam was based on the RTPP Act, 2012 and Rules, 2013.

The event was held at HCM RIPA, Jaipur, with 152 officers from across Rajasthan participating, reflecting the department’s commitment to capacity building, knowledge enhancement, and merit-based recognition. The initiative aims to link knowledge-based performance with direct incentives and acknowledgment.

The top three performers in the competition will be awarded international study opportunities in Dubai. Additionally, winners across various categories received special prizes. Officers securing first place in the Financial Advisor, Chief Accounts Officer, Senior Accounts Officer, and Accounts Officer categories were awarded tablets, while second-place winners received smartwatches.

The award ceremony was held at Bhagwat Singh Auditorium, Nehru Bhawan, OTS Campus, Jaipur.
