CM Dhami Offers Special Prayers at Maa Dhari Devi Temple for the Safety, Well-being, and Disaster Relief of the People of Uttarakhand
Pauri, Sept 2025 : Amidst continuous heavy rainfall and severe disaster situations in the state, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the sacred Maa Dhari Devi Temple in Pauri district today. The visit followed his inspection of disaster-affected areas in Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts.
At the temple, CM Dhami offered special prayers at the feet of Maa Dhari Devi, seeking blessings for the safety, health, prosperity, and relief from natural disasters for the people of Uttarakhand. He stated, “Maa Dhari Devi is the revered deity of the state, and in this hour of crisis, I have come to her feet carrying the well-being and welfare of the entire Uttarakhand.”
Following the prayer, the Chief Minister interacted with local residents, traders, pilgrims, and temple committee officials. He listened to the concerns of the people and assured that the state government is continuously working to provide relief to all those in need. Devotees expressed appreciation for the management of the Char Dham Yatra, noting that the government’s arrangements amid the disaster were commendable.
A pilgrim from Indore, Santosh Pathak, described the Chief Minister as the “Hindu Hriday Samrat” and remarked, “The sensitivity and leadership shown by the CM during this disaster is truly inspiring.”
CM Dhami also inspected the temple premises and the Alaknanda riverbanks, issuing clear instructions to begin the construction of solid protective walls along both riverbanks to prevent landslides. He emphasized that safety standards must not be compromised and that quality and transparency must be ensured in all works.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the disaster-affected people, and relief and rescue operations are being carried out at a war-footing. He stated, “Our resolve is to reach every affected person, understand their needs, and help them return to normal life.”
Also present during the visit were Cabinet Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, MLA Asha Nautiyal (Kedarnath), MLA Bharat Singh Chaudhary (Rudraprayag), District Magistrate Swati S. Bhadoria, Senior Superintendent of Police Lokeshwar Singh, Additional District Magistrate Anil Gabryal, Joint Magistrate Dikshita Joshi, along with other officials and dignitaries.
