CM Sai’s Warm and Affectionate Gesture: Feeding Little Girl Bhumika Baghel a Mahua Laddu with Love
Raipur, Sept 2025 : The affectionate and heartfelt nature of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai was witnessed by all during the Nuakhai Milan ceremony of the Dhurwa community. On this occasion, the Chief Minister lovingly lifted little Bhumika Baghel, a young girl from the community, into his lap, caressed her affectionately, and fed her a Mahua laddu.
Bhumika Baghel, a resident of Ulnar village in Jagdalpur block, attended the program with her grandfather, Shri Sonsari Baghel. Dressed in traditional attire, the little girl charmed everyone present. Chief Minister Sai affectionately asked her name and inquired, “Daughter, which class are you studying in?” With an innocent smile, Bhumika replied, “I study in LKG at Deepti Convent School.”
This tender moment deeply touched the hearts of everyone attending the ceremony. The innocent smile, traditional dress, and sparkling eyes of young Bhumika reflected the joy and rich culture of Bastar.
Chief Minister Sai remarked that it was a matter of great pride that the community had taken a commendable decision last year to make education up to Class 12 mandatory for their children. He added, “Education and values are what will shape the future of our coming generations. I pray that Bhumika and every daughter of Chhattisgarh study well, soar high, and remain connected to our culture.”
The warmth and affection with which Chief Minister Sai interacted with little Bhumika filled the entire atmosphere of the celebration with love and intimacy.
His heartfelt behavior reflects his deep connection with the tribal society and his affectionate concern for children.
