Meeting Held With Adviser To Chief Minister (H&Fw, A&Fw) And Heads Of Departments In Lawngtlai

Lawngtlai, Sept 2025: Today, Dr. Lorrain Lalpekliana Chinzah, Adviser to the Chief Minister (Health & Family Welfare, Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare), along with the local MLA of Lawngtlai East, held a meeting with the Heads of Departments at the DC Office Chamber in Lawngtlai. The meeting was chaired by Pu Donny Lalruatsanga, Deputy Commissioner.

Dr. Lorrain Lalpekliana Chinzah emphasized the importance of ensuring public welfare and directed that all officials prioritize initiatives that directly benefit the people. He highlighted the significance of proper planning and efficient implementation in order to achieve meaningful outcomes for the citizens. Departments were advised to adopt a proactive approach, ensuring timely action and effective delivery of services. He also instructed that follow-ups be conducted to ensure the implementation of planned programs.

Pu Donny Lalruatsanga, Deputy Commissioner, stated that government departments have a critical role to play in the development and welfare of Lawngtlai District. He highlighted that even in a government-led system, NGOs, churches, and community organizations can actively contribute to public welfare, and collaboration should be encouraged. He further instructed that the District Administration closely monitor the implementation of programs and ensure accountability at all levels.

During the meeting, departmental officials presented updates on their progress and highlighted ongoing challenges. Officials from Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Fisheries, Commerce & Industries, Land Resources, and Soil & Water Conservation departments attended the meeting. The Deputy Commissioner, Pu Donny Lalruatsanga, concluded the session with a vote of thanks.
