YSRCP Launches Digital Book to Record Harassment Under TDP-Led Government
Amaravati, Sept 2025 : The opposition YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Wednesday unveiled a digital book that will allow its cadres to register complaints about alleged false cases and harassment under the Telugu Desam Party (TDP)-led coalition government in Andhra Pradesh.
YSRCP President and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the initiative at the party headquarters, assuring party workers that once his party returns to power, all complaints will be reviewed and action taken. “Those who have done injustice will be brought to book, wherever they may be,” he declared.

The digital book combines both an online portal and an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). Party workers can file complaints at digitalbook.weysrcp.com or by calling 040-49171718, with the assurance that each submission will be considered. “Today it could be a red book; in the days to come it will be a digital book,” Reddy quipped, in a pointed reference to the ruling party.
The “red book” remark referred to a booklet carried by TDP leader and current minister Nara Lokesh during last year’s election campaign. Lokesh had claimed to have documented the names of officials who allegedly harassed TDP leaders and workers during the YSRCP’s tenure, warning that they would face consequences once the coalition assumed power. YSRCP leaders have since accused the government of following a so-called “Red Book constitution,” targeting opposition cadres with false charges and political vendettas.
Reddy noted that his party had already created mechanisms for workers to report harassment, including the ability to upload supporting evidence through mobile applications. He reiterated that YSRCP’s new digital platform would systematically record such cases to ensure accountability in the future.
Addressing an extended meeting of the party on Wednesday, which included MLAs, MLCs, district presidents, regional coordinators, and constituency leaders, Reddy launched a scathing attack on the TDP-led government. He alleged that the coalition has quickly built up unprecedented anti-incumbency in just over a year, due to widespread corruption, nepotism, and a breakdown in governance.
He said the government’s failures span critical sectors, including health, education, agriculture, and law and order. “In just 15 months, people are completely disillusioned with this government,” Reddy remarked, adding that vindictive politics had become the hallmark of its functioning.
The YSRCP chief also criticized the ruling coalition’s flagship “Super Six” promises made during the election campaign. According to him, the promises not only failed but also backfired, angering people who now feel cheated. He highlighted that three key pledges—unemployment stipend, Stri Nidhi, and pensions for women below the age of 50—have disappeared altogether, generating resentment across different social groups.
Reddy also alleged mismanagement in the agricultural sector, particularly with regard to fertilizer supply. He accused the government of colluding with middlemen to create artificial shortages of urea, which is then sold at inflated prices, leaving farmers in distress. “Such things never happened during the YSRCP regime,” he claimed.
On the issue of minimum support price (MSP), Reddy said that while the government has failed to secure MSP for crops beyond paddy, his administration had previously allocated ₹7,800 crore for price stabilization. He further accused Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of suggesting that rice be diverted primarily for ethanol production, which, according to him, exposes the government’s misplaced priorities.
Concluding his address, Reddy assured the cadres that the digital book would serve as a comprehensive record of political harassment under the current government. “Every incident of injustice will be documented, and when the time comes, we will ensure accountability,” he said, urging party leaders and workers to remain steadfast and united.
