Adani Energy Solutions Certified as ‘Zero-Waste-to-Landfill’ Organisation

Ahmedabad, Sept 2025: Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL) today announced that all its operational sites and corporate headquarters have been certified as Zero-Waste-to-Landfill (ZWL) by Intertek, a leading global Total Quality Assurance provider. The certification confirms AESL’s 100% waste diversion rate with zero landfill contribution.

“Zero-Waste-to-Landfill” certification requires diverting at least 90% of waste away from landfills through reduction, reuse, recycling, and recovery. AESL has gone beyond this benchmark, achieving complete diversion and reinforcing its commitment to resource conservation and environmental stewardship.

This achievement marks a major milestone in AESL’s ESG journey, which began in FY21 with the vision of ranking among the Top 10 Electric Utility Companies globally in ESG benchmarking. Over the past three years, AESL has consistently delivered world-class diversion rates of 99.87%, 99.88%, and 99.99%, making it India’s first transmission company to maintain over 99% diversion for three consecutive years. In FY25, AESL has reached the landmark 100% diversion rate—an industry-first in India’s transmission sector.

With operations spread across 54 sites in 16 states, including remote and challenging terrains, achieving ZWL status reflects AESL’s unwavering ESG focus and its ability to balance operational excellence with sustainability goals.
