Deputy CM Ajit Pawar directs immediate restoration of power supply in flood and heavy rain-affected areas

Instructions given to MSEDCL’s Managing Director

Mumbai, Sept 2025: Due to heavy rains and flooding, electricity supply has been disrupted in several places, particularly in many villages of Marathwada and Western Maharashtra. Against this backdrop, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has instructed MSEDCL’s Managing Director, Lokesh Chandra, over a phone call to restore electricity supply in these affected areas on a war footing.

The Deputy CM further directed that to ensure immediate and smooth restoration of power supply in flood-hit areas, additional manpower should be deployed from neighboring districts. He also instructed that transformers must be provided urgently wherever required.
