CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Warns of ‘Cheating Jihad’ in Uttarakhand, Vows to Crush Examination Mafia

Dehradun, Sept 2025: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has warned that the coaching mafia and cheating networks are attempting to launch a “cheating jihad” in the state, following the implementation of a strict anti-cheating law. Addressing a meeting of BJP officials on Wednesday, CM Dhami stated that the government is fully prepared to defeat these “cheating jihadists” at any cost.

The Chief Minister highlighted that Uttarakhand has enacted the country’s most stringent anti-cheating legislation to curb malpractice in examinations. Since the law came into effect, over 100 members of the cheating mafia have been jailed. Thanks to the government’s proactive measures, more than 25,000 youth have secured government jobs through transparent processes over the last four years.

CM Dhami expressed concern that despite the youth’s hard work and talent, certain elements are unable to tolerate their progress. “Frustrated by the strict actions of the government, the cheating and coaching mafia are uniting to launch a ‘copy jihad’ in Devbhoomi,” he said, adding that these elements are trying to create chaos in the state even before ongoing investigations are complete.

The Chief Minister issued a stern warning, affirming that the state government will not allow the plans of these unscrupulous groups to succeed. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to eliminating the examination mafia and “copy jihadis” and ensuring that no attempt to undermine the youth’s future will be tolerated.

CM Dhami emphasized that Uttarakhand remains committed to protecting the aspirations of its young citizens, ensuring merit-based success, and maintaining transparency in all examinations and government recruitment processes.
