CM laid foundation stone to Young India Skills University
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy laid the foundation stone for the Young India Skill University on Thursday. This new initiative by the State Government aims to spur regional development and create job opportunities for the youth. The project includes plans for a new city, which will feature education, healthcare, and employment facilities.
The government passed a bill in the Assembly to establish the Skill University, reflecting its commitment to future generations. The foundation stone was laid for the Advanced Technology Center, Modern School, Primary Health Center, and Community Center.
Drawing inspiration from Jawaharlal Nehru’s emphasis on education and irrigation, the government has lifted Godavari and Krishna waters to Hyderabad to meet drinking water needs. The Skill University will offer training and professional certificates to thousands of young people. Many companies have already pledged to provide jobs along with training, ensuring that admission to the university guarantees employment.
The government’s vision includes transforming the entire area into a future city, surpassing even New York in advancement. Plans include developing a health tourism hub and a sports hub. Families displaced by the project will receive compensation, and the government will take responsibility for providing skill development and jobs to their children.
Infrastructure improvements are also part of the plan. A 200-feet road will connect the area to the airport, and a Metro Rail facility will be established. The legacy of Chief Minister YS Rajashekhar Reddy’s Outer Ring Road will be continued with the construction of a Regional Ring Road (RRR) under the leadership of R&B Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. The RRR works are set to begin in three months.
