Implementation of ‘Chief Minister My School, Beautiful School’ Competitive Campaign Begins
Mumbai, Oct 2025 : The ‘Chief Minister My School, Beautiful School’ competitive campaign has received an overwhelming response over the past two years. For the year 2025–26, a budgetary provision of ₹86.73 crore has been made to implement the third phase of this initiative with revised criteria and new activities, according to a statement issued by the School Education Department.
For the upcoming year, the campaign’s evaluation parameters will be improved to make it more inclusive and effective. The School Education Commissioner has been instructed to prepare and submit a detailed proposal after coordinating with all regional directors for the smooth implementation of the campaign. Accordingly, the proposal for Phase 3 of the ‘Chief Minister My School, Beautiful School’ campaign for 2025–26 was submitted to the state government on August 29, 2025, and action at the government level has now begun. The campaign will soon be launched across the state with several new initiatives and improvements.
Earlier, under the Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Ideal School Scheme, the campaign was first launched in 2023–24 and implemented across all schools — irrespective of board or management — between January 1 and February 15, 2024. The initiative received tremendous support not only from students and teachers but also from alumni, parents, and education enthusiasts. Nearly two crore students — about 95% of the schools in the state — actively participated in various activities under the campaign. Some of these activities even found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Building on this success, the Phase 2 campaign was conducted in 2024–25 with additional innovative programs from July 29 to September 15, 2024, as per the government resolution dated July 26, 2024. Prizes worth ₹73.82 crore were distributed under government resolutions issued on November 18, 2024, and January 9, 2025. The campaign once again received an enthusiastic response comparable to the previous year.
Now, for 2025–26, the School Education Department has initiated the implementation process for Phase 3 of the ‘Chief Minister My School, Beautiful School’ campaign. The initiative will be carried out statewide, focusing on new educational innovations and enhanced community participation, aiming to make schools across Maharashtra cleaner, more attractive, and inspiring learning environments.
