Only Through Women Empowerment Will the Country Become a Superpower – CM Eknath Shinde
Sillod Distt., Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar – The country will become a superpower only through the empowerment of women. The ‘Mukhya Mantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’ is a permanent scheme aimed at empowering women economically, and the government is dedicated to supporting this initiative. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde assured the women at the Mahila Empowerment Mela that the government’s goal is to make women economically, socially, politically, and educationally empowered in the state.
The Chief Minister Women Empowerment Campaign was organized today at Sillod. In the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, various women empowerment schemes were implemented, and the Chief Minister- Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana was launched. It was also announced that benefits have been granted to two lakh women. Legislative Council Deputy Speaker Nilamtai Gorhe, Finance and Minority Development and Auqaf Minister and District Guardian Minister Abdul Sattar, along with other dignitaries, attended this grand ceremony.
At the beginning of his speech, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde congratulated Swapnil Kusale, who won a bronze medal in the Olympics, and praised the district administration and new guardian minister Abdul Sattar for their excellent work on the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. Initially, wreaths were offered to the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and idols of Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray and Dharmaveer Anand Dighe were worshipped. Additionally, Chief Minister Shinde released an information booklet on various women empowerment schemes prepared by the district administration.
Chief Minister Shinde emphasized that the empowerment of women is crucial for the country to become a superpower. He stated that while we revere women as Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati, it is essential to support them practically. The government has initiated these schemes to ensure that women are empowered in all aspects of life.
Chief Minister Shinde reiterated that the primary goal of the government is to ensure the happiness and satisfaction of every family in the state. He assured that the ‘Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana,’ which provides Rs. 1.5 thousand per month (Rs. 18 thousand per year), is a permanent scheme. This initiative aims to benefit over two crore women in one year through various schemes, including the Chief Minister’s Annapurna Yojana, Ladki Lake Yojana, free higher education for girls, and a 50 percent discount on ST travel.
Chief Minister Shinde also highlighted that the Chief Minister Yuva Apprenticeship Scheme benefits both sisters and brothers. The ‘Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’ has received a huge response, with Rs. 45 thousand crore allocated in the budget for women’s welfare and nearly Rs. 1 lakh crore for other welfare schemes. In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district alone, two lakh applications have been approved for this scheme, bringing joy to many women in the state.
Marathwada Watergrid Will Be Implemented
Chief Minister Shinde announced that the Marathwada water grid, previously only discussed, will now be implemented. This plan aims to attract industry investment in the district and create employment opportunities. Additionally, Chief Minister Shinde announced a grant of Rs. 75 lakh for the construction of a Hirakni room.
Representative Distribution of Benefits
During the ceremony, Chief Minister Shinde distributed certificates and benefits to women beneficiaries of various schemes in a representative manner. Among the beneficiaries were Gitabai Janjal, Varsha Balu Pandav, Laxmibai Pandit, Karuna Barwal, Sangeeta Ambhore, Mirabai Sapkal, Divya Sapkal, Manisha Ahire, Akhila Yakub Sheikh, Shobha Dandge, Monica Shirasath, Vatsala Jadhav, Vandana Kakade, Alkabai Pagare, Ruksana Dilawar Tadvi, Kavita Ahire, Kalpana Chavan, and Nanda Palodkar.
Divya’s Form Filled by the Chief Minister
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde personally filled out the form for Divya Ramdas Sapkal’s sister to receive benefits under the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. He then handed the form to District Collector Dilip Swamy for the approval process, complete with her signature.
Traditional Costumes and Raksha Bandhan
Women attended the ceremony dressed in traditional attire. Many approached the platform to tie rakhi to the Chief Minister and interact with him. In a heartwarming moment, Chief Minister Shinde requested the women to start mobile torches, and they responded enthusiastically.
Roadshow in Sillod
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde received a warm welcome in every village from the airport to Sillod, with women waving to him and tying rakhi. A roadshow was held in Sillod city, where residents welcomed Chief Minister Shinde enthusiastically.
The program was introduced by Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad, Vikas Meena. District Collector Dilip Swamy provided information about the implementation of the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana in the district. Geeta Pansare moderated the event, and Vikas Meena proposed the vote of thanks.
