“Ashma Kumari KC Crowned Miss Nepal World 2024”

Ashma Kumari KC has been crowned Miss Nepal World 2024 in a grand finale at Sunrise Conference Hall in Godawari, Lalitpur. Srichchha Pradhan, Miss Nepal 2023, crowned Ashma, who will now represent Nepal in the Miss World pageant. Additionally, Karuna Rawat was named Miss Nepal International, and Sumana KC won Miss Nepal Earth, with their titles presented by last year’s winners Prasiddhy Shah and Raina Majgaiya.

During the ceremony, winners of five sub-categories were also announced. Shraddha Suman Silwal won Miss Photogenic, Ashma Kumari KC was awarded Face of the Year, Dikshya Awasthi received Miss Intellectual, Sumana KC took Beauty with a Purpose, and Kimti Shrestha earned Woman with Wings. Each subtitle winner received Rs. 25,000. Ashma, a student of Social Work and entrepreneur from Kathmandu, impressed judges with her response to a question about climate change, advocating for both policy action and personal responsibility.

The event featured a panel of 11 judges and was attended by notable figures from Nepal’s fashion, film, and music industries. With 26 semifinalists competing, the Miss Nepal pageant, organized by The Hidden Treasure, celebrated its 30th anniversary. Rubi Rana, the first Miss Nepal from 1994, expressed her best wishes for the pageant’s ongoing journey. Srichchha Pradhan, Miss Nepal 2023, is set to represent Nepal in Miss World 2025.
