Sobha Realty Pledges ₹100 Crore for World-Class Library in Amaravati During CM Chandrababu Naidu’s Dubai Visit

Dubai, Oct 2025 : Dubai-based real estate giant Sobha Realty Group has announced a contribution of ₹100 crore towards the construction of a world-class state library in Amaravati, marking a major step in strengthening global partnerships for Andhra Pradesh’s capital development. The announcement was made by Sobha Realty Chairman Ravi Menon during his meeting with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is currently visiting Dubai to attract investments into the state.

During the meeting, plans were discussed to establish a library that meets global standards, symbolising Amaravati’s emergence as an international hub of knowledge, innovation, and culture. The Chief Minister appreciated Sobha Group’s initiative, noting that it aligns with the vision of building Amaravati as one of the most advanced and sustainable cities in the world.

Chief Minister Naidu invited Sobha Realty to take an active role in the development of Amaravati and urged its leadership to visit Andhra Pradesh to review ongoing infrastructure projects. He outlined how Amaravati is being developed with cutting-edge urban planning and sustainable infrastructure comparable to leading global cities.

The Chief Minister also briefed the Sobha Group on major projects currently underway, including Quantum Valley in Amaravati and a Google Data Centre in Visakhapatnam. He added that cities like Tirupati and Visakhapatnam are set for large-scale transformation with significant investments in infrastructure and technology.

Naidu highlighted the vast investment potential in Andhra Pradesh’s real estate sector, especially in industrial corridors, port-linked development zones, and tourism infrastructure. He encouraged companies to invest in townships, luxury hotels, IT parks, convention centres, and premium residential projects in strategic locations such as Amaravati, Visakhapatnam, and Tirupati.

The Chief Minister praised Sobha Group for allocating 50% of its income to charitable causes, aligning with Andhra Pradesh’s “Zero Poverty Mission” being implemented under the P4 model—Public, Private, People, and Partnership.

Ravi Menon shared that Sobha Group operates across Dubai, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, and Brunei, and manages real estate projects in 27 Indian cities across 14 states, including Bengaluru, Gurugram, Chennai, and Kerala.

Chief Minister Naidu extended an invitation to Sobha Realty to participate in the upcoming Global Investors Summit in Visakhapatnam on November 14–15, where Andhra Pradesh will showcase major opportunities in infrastructure, energy, and innovation-driven sectors.

The ₹100 crore contribution from Sobha Realty marks a significant milestone in public-private collaboration aimed at positioning Amaravati as a global city of knowledge, culture, and innovation.
