New Delhi, Oct 2025 : Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta attended a special programme in the Mangolpuri constituency, where she inaugurated the newly named Maharshi Durbalnath Dham Centre and unveiled the statue of Maharaja Agrasen. She said that while Sant Durbalnath spread the message of unity and humanity, Maharaja Agrasen dedicated his life to service and social harmony. Inspired by their ideals, the Mangolpuri region is moving forward on the path of progress today.

The event was attended by Member of Parliament Yogendra Chandolia, MLA and Chairman of the Delhi Rural Development Board Rajkumar Chauhan, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, and other distinguished guests. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that this was not merely an inauguration but a symbol of Delhi’s social unity, service, and culture.

The Chief Minister announced that no shortage of resources would be allowed for the development of the Mangolpuri area. She informed that through the Rural Development Committee, the Delhi Government had approved development projects worth over ₹1,000 crore in the rural parts of the capital. She stated that the aim of her government was not merely to administer governance but to ensure holistic development and upliftment of every section of society.

The Chief Minister said that the leadership and blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi were the greatest strength behind Delhi’s progress. Under his guidance, Delhi was achieving new heights in infrastructure, healthcare, environment, and public welfare.

She further said that this year, the Delhi Government had celebrated major cultural and spiritual occasions such as Chhath Mahaparv, Valmiki Jayanti, Ramlila festivals, and Deepotsav in a grand manner, making Delhi a vibrant centre of culture and spirituality. After Ayodhya, the most magnificent Deepotsav was held in Delhi, where the illumination of 1.25 lakh earthen lamps and a spectacular drone show based on the life of Lord Ram at Kartavya Path near India Gate conveyed the message that the spirit of Ram Rajya is alive in Delhi too.

On the occasion of Chhath Puja, the Chief Minister extended her heartfelt greetings to the people of Delhi and said that the festival’s splendour and devotion bring peace and joy to the hearts of all Delhiites. She prayed that the blessings of Chhathi Maiya remain upon every resident of Delhi, so that the city continues to prosper and move steadily on the path of happiness and progress.
