Judiciary Is the Strong Pillar of Democracy, Says Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that the judiciary is a strong pillar of democracy that keeps the spirit of justice and equality alive in society. A robust justice system instills a sense of security among citizens. He said the three new criminal laws implemented in the country have transformed the definition of justice. Rajasthan is implementing the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam at the grassroots level, which has accelerated the justice process and will soon place the state among the leading ones in the country.

Sharma was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed building of the Bar Council of Rajasthan in Jodhpur via video conference from the Chief Minister’s residence on Sunday. He expressed confidence that the new building would further strengthen democracy. Equipped with modern facilities, the building will meet current needs and guide future generations.

Creation of New Courts and Appointment of Judges at District Level
CM Sharma said the judiciary is the backbone of any nation. Every person comes to the court with the hope of justice. Only when justice becomes accessible to the person at the last mile can the journey of development be completed. Development becomes meaningful only with fairness. The Bar Council is a medium to fulfill the aspirations of common people seeking justice.

He said the government is setting up new courts at the district level as required and rapidly appointing new judges. Public welfare remains the government’s top priority. He assured that the state government is fully prepared to support the welfare of advocates and strengthen the Bar Council.

People’s Trust Is the Greatest Strength of the Justice System
The Chief Minister said advocates are not only architects of society but also the most crucial link in the justice system. Their reasoning, knowledge, and commitment form the foundation of justice. Advocates embody the trust that people have in the system. This faith of the people is the greatest strength of the judiciary, and strengthening this trust is our collective responsibility.

At the main ceremony held in Jodhpur, Supreme Court Justice Sandeep Mehta, Justice Vijay Bishnoi, Rajasthan High Court Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma, Justice Dr. Pushpendra Singh Bhati, Advocate General Rajendra Prasad, Additional Solicitor General Bharat Vyas, Bar Council of Rajasthan Chairman Bhuvnesh Sharma, Vice Chairman Devendra Singh Rathore, Bar Council of India Co-Chairman Suresh Chandra Shrimali, judges, Bar Council office-bearers, and senior advocates were present.
