Dhangaanv’s Jyoti Becomes Self-Reliant Through the Mahatari Vandan Scheme

Earning ₹6,000 Per Month Through Tailoring

Raipur, Nov 2025 : The Mahatari Vandan Scheme, implemented with the vision of empowering women and making them self-reliant under the good governance of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, has brought significant positive change to the lives of many women across the state. Through this scheme, women are receiving financial support and the opportunity to build self-reliant futures. One such inspiring example is Mrs. Jyoti Dubey from Dhangaanv (Ch.) village in Mungeli district, who has emerged as a symbol of women’s empowerment and independence.

Despite managing the responsibilities of an eight-member family, Jyoti never gave up. With determination, she carved her own path to success. She has been receiving benefits under the Mahatari Vandan Scheme for nearly two years. Saving the monthly assistance provided under the scheme, she purchased a sewing machine and began her tailoring work.

In the beginning, Jyoti did not have her own machine and had to rely on others’, which limited the number of orders she could take. Yet she remained steadfast and continued working hard. Today, Jyoti earns approximately ₹5,000 to ₹6,000 every month through her own sewing machine. She is not only strengthening her family’s financial condition but also inspiring other women in her village to become self-reliant through her work and confidence.

Mrs. Dubey’s success story proves that when opportunity and determination come together, women can set new examples of self-reliance in any field. She expressed her gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, and the Mungeli district administration for providing her the benefits of the Mahatari Vandan Scheme. She said that the assistance received through this scheme has encouraged economically weaker women like her to move towards empowerment and self-dependence.
