48th Raut Nacha Festival: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai Attends the Event Held at Lal Bahadur Shastri School Grounds

Raipur, Nov 2025 : A grand celebration of the 48th Raut Nacha Festival was held at the Lal Bahadur Shastri School Grounds in Bilaspur. Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai arrived at the school premises to participate in the festival. Upon his arrival, festival patron Shri Kalicharan Yadav and committee officials warmly welcomed him with flower garlands. Following this, the Chief Minister and other guests offered floral tributes to the image of Lord Krishna, formally inaugurating the program.
Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav, Takhatpur MLA Shri Dharamjeet Singh, Bilha MLA Shri Dharamlal Kaushik, Beltara MLA Shri Sushant Shukla, Chandrapur MLA Shri Ramkumar Yadav, Kota MLA Shri Atal Shrivastav, Masturi MLA Shri Dilip Lahariya, and Mayor Ms. Pooja Vidhani, along with many public representatives, dignitaries, and a large audience were present.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai arrived on stage dressed in the traditional Raut Nacha attire and encouraged the performing artists. He said, “The Yaduvanshi community is the one in which Lord Shri Krishna was born. Chhattisgarh’s dance and musical traditions are a living symbol of our cultural richness and unity.” He also sang the couplet ‘Tel phool mein laika badhe…’, offering blessings to the Yaduvanshi community and the dance troupes.
Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu described Raut Nacha as an exceptional expression of the Yaduvanshi community’s valour, culture, and art, and extended his greetings by singing couplets from the stage.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said, “Upholding this glorious tradition for 48 years is proof of the community’s unity, discipline, and cultural pride.” He conveyed best wishes to all community members and dance groups.
Bilaspur MLA Shri Amar Agrawal, in his address, said, “Raut Nacha is a proud 48-year-old cultural heritage of Bilaspur, which the committee has consistently preserved. If any community has been continuously working for social goodwill and harmony, it is the Yadav community.” He extended heartfelt greetings for the festival.
School Education Minister Shri Gajendra Yadav said, “It is a matter of great pride that the Raut Nacha Festival is being held on the sacred land of Bilasa. Members of the Yaduvanshi community visit every household to pray for the welfare of all communities.” He expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for attending the program.
Festival patron Dr. Kalicharan Yadav delivered the welcome address, highlighting the glorious tradition of Raut Nacha. He said that for the past 47 years, the festival has been a strong symbol of the Yaduvanshi community’s culture, honour, and cultural identity.
Chief Minister Joins the Dance Troupes in Traditional Attire
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai entered the gathering of Raut Nacha troupes dressed in traditional costume and danced with them to the rhythmic beats of drums and nagaras, encouraging the performers. Praising the captivating performances, he said that cultural heritage like Raut Nacha will continue to inspire future generations and keep Chhattisgarh’s traditions alive forever.
