AAP’s Massive Victory in Tarn Taran: Congress and BJP Lose Deposits

After Visavadar and Ludhiana, AAP secures another big win in Tarn Taran bypoll

Chandigarh, Nov 2025 : The Aam Aadmi Party’s sweeping victory in the Tarn Taran by-election has once again proven that the people of Punjab stand firmly with a government that works for them. This win represents more than just one seat—it reflects the voice of Punjab’s people, their trust in Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s governance, and their belief in Arvind Kejriwal’s honest politics.

The forfeiture of deposits by both major parties, Congress and BJP, is a clear sign that Punjab is fed up with outdated, divisive, and arrogant politics. Congress has been punished at the ballot box for neglecting and insulting the Dalit community. The Dalit community has made it clear that nothing matters more than dignity, and Congress has paid the price for disrespecting that dignity.

Meanwhile, Punjab has once again rejected the BJP for its anti-Punjab policies, decisions against farmers, and conspiracies that undermined the state’s rights. The BJP losing its deposit is proof that the people will not tolerate any compromise on Punjab’s pride or interests. Winning Ludhiana—a major urban seat—and now Tarn Taran, considered a stronghold of Panthic politics, shows that the Aam Aadmi Party has become the preferred choice of every section, caste, religion, and region in Punjab.

This victory sends a clear message: the people of Punjab recognize the dedication, sincerity, and strong grassroots organisation of the AAP. Door-to-door outreach by party workers, a clear understanding of public issues, and direct communication with the people have built trust that real politics comes from solving people’s problems—not from delivering hollow speeches from stages.

Under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s leadership, strict action against corruption, transparency in public services, new opportunities for youth, decisions in favour of farmers and labourers, improvements in schools and hospitals, and solutions to everyday issues have strengthened public faith in the government. The victory in Tarn Taran is proof that Punjab has embraced politics of performance, with the Aam Aadmi Party at the centre of it.

The people have sent a decisive message: those who worked have been rewarded with victory; those who insulted Punjab have been stopped at the doorstep. This win reflects the changing public mood in Punjab, its unity, and the new direction the state seeks for the future. Punjab now wants politics of development, honesty, and trust—and the Aam Aadmi Party represents exactly that.
