E-KYC Deadline for Ladki Bahin Scheme Extended to 31 December 2025
Mumbai, Nov 2025 : The deadline for completing the e-KYC process under the Chief Minister’s Mazi Ladki Bahin (My Dear Sister) Scheme has been extended until 31 December 2025, informed Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare.
Minister Tatkare stated that while the e-KYC process for the scheme is underway, recent natural calamities in several districts and issues raised by women beneficiaries were taken into consideration. Earlier, as per the directions of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, the deadline was set for 18 November 2025. However, the government has now decided to extend it to 31 December 2025.
She noted that many families suffered extensive losses due to the natural disasters. In several cases, women were unable to receive OTPs on the Aadhaar numbers linked to their deceased husbands or fathers, making e-KYC completion impossible. Hence, extending the deadline became essential.
Additionally, eligible women whose husbands or fathers have passed away, or women who are divorced, must complete their e-KYC individually and submit attested copies of the relevant documents such as the death certificate, divorce certificate or court order.
The minister further stated that the extension aims to ensure justice for all eligible women and prevent anyone from being deprived of scheme benefits due to technical or unavoidable circumstances. She appealed to beneficiaries to complete their e-KYC process within the extended period.
