Andhra Pradesh Announces Winners of 1.2 GW Rooftop Solar Auction.
The New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) has announced the 22 winners of its 1.2 GW rooftop solar auction under the tender floated in July 2025 to set up projects under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana:

The selected bidders must set up rooftop solar projects on residential buildings belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe customers under the utility-led aggregator (ULA) model. The project covers design, engineering, supply, transportation, installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar projects. Winners must provide operation and maintenance services for five years.
The project must be completed within six months. Winners must use solar cells and modules that comply with the domestic content requirement to be eligible for central financial assistance from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).
The modules must have a warranty of at least eight years from the date of supply against all material/ manufacturing defects and workmanship. They must be warranted for a peak output capacity of at least 90% at the end of 10 years and 80% at the end of 25 years.
Winners must provide a warranty for the entire rooftop system of at least five years. In October, MNRE
amended the operational guidelines for implementing the ULA model under PM Surya Ghar to release central financial assistance in a single tranche.
