Efforts Underway to Reopen the Affected Road in Sonprayag for the Resumption of the Sri Kedarnath Dham Yatra
Constant monitoring and frequent visits by Chief Minister Dhami on the ground have accelerated the work.
Efforts are being made to reopen the damaged Sri Kedarnath Ped Yatra Marg under extremely difficult conditions.
The damaged footpath from Kedarnath Dham to Chhoti Lincholi has also been repaired.

On July 31, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, while assessing the damage and overseeing relief and rescue operations in Kedarghati, directed officials to restore normal life as soon as possible. He instructed them to repair the damaged national highway and footpath immediately.
Executive Engineer of National Highways, Nirbhay Singh, informed that following the instructions given by the Chief Minister and the District Magistrate, the completely damaged one-and-a-half-meter national highway between Sonprayag and Gaurikund is being opened using a Pokeland machine. Additionally, the construction work on the road damaged near the Sonprayag bridge has also commenced.
Executive Engineer DDMA Vinay Zinkwan reported that the Kedarnath footpath has been damaged at many places, with about 15 locations where the footpath has been completely destroyed. He stated that repair and construction work on the Kedarnath footpath is being carried out continuously by laborers under very difficult conditions. The damaged footpath from Kedarnath Dham to Chhoti Lincholi has been repaired. However, the work to reopen the Kedarnath Ped Yatra route is proceeding urgently but intermittently due to adverse weather conditions affecting the safety of the laborers.
