Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai Launches Housing Board Projects Worth ₹2,060 Crore

Over 12,000 affordable and high-quality houses to be built under 55 Housing Board projects across 26 districts

Three-day State-Level Housing Fair begins at BTI Ground, Shankar Nagar

Raipur, Nov 2025 : Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today inaugurated residential projects worth ₹2,060 crore of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board at the three-day state-level Housing Fair held at BTI Ground, Shankar Nagar, Raipur. These 55 projects, to be launched across 26 districts of the state, will collectively develop more than 12,000 affordable and high-quality homes. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also launched the Housing Board’s AI Chatbot and online portal, which will make information about the Board’s residential projects more easily accessible to consumers.

Present at the event were Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Housing and Environment Minister O.P. Choudhary, Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma, MLAs Motilal Sahu, Purandar Mishra and Anuj Sharma, Housing Board Chairman Anurag Singhdeo, Chhattisgarh Film Development Corporation Chairperson Mona Sen, Telghani Board Chairman Jatin Sahu, along with other public representatives and a large number of citizens.

Chief Minister Sai said that the current team of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board is performing exceptionally well and is moving ahead with innovation to provide affordable and quality housing to the people of the state. He added that the state government has cleared the Housing Board’s ₹790 crore debt, making it debt-free so that it can function with better strategy and efficiency. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, he said that within two years, 26 lakh houses have been sanctioned in Chhattisgarh under the scheme. He further stated that under the PM Janman Mission, 32,000 houses have been approved for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), and 15,000 houses have been sanctioned in Bastar for surrendered Naxalites and Naxal-affected families.

At the event, the Chief Minister handed over house booking certificates, house keys to Housing Board beneficiaries, and freehold property certificates, congratulating them on the occasion.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh praised the work of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board and said that the current team is performing excellently in the housing sector. He added that the massive crowd and traffic congestion since the fair began indicate its huge success. He further appreciated CM Sai’s efforts to ensure housing for needy families and highlighted the ₹14,000 crore provision made in the state budget for housing. Dr. Singh expressed confidence that all Housing Board projects would receive strong response across the districts.

Housing and Environment Minister O.P. Choudhary expressed gratitude to CM Sai for the decisions taken to improve the Board’s functioning and provide relief to consumers. He stated that due to the Chief Minister’s special initiative, the Housing Board is now free from its ₹790 crore debt. He added that within one year, the Housing Board achieved ₹672 crore in business. The government has provided relief to both the Board and consumers by offering concessions on land diversion and freehold conversion. He also announced that the Housing Board will begin construction of residential projects based on consumer demand.

Housing Board Chairman Anurag Singhdeo also addressed the gathering, stating that the Housing Board, under the leadership of CM Sai, will construct houses in all districts of the state and will soon launch residential projects in all assembly constituencies as part of the next phase.

The state-level Housing Fair at BTI Ground will continue until 25 November. On the first day, a massive crowd flocked to the venue to obtain information about Housing Board projects and book homes. Heavy traffic congestion was reported on the road from Shankar Nagar Turning Point to Khamhardih due to the overwhelming response.
