CM Bhajanlal Sharma Urges Global Rajasthani Diaspora to Join ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Day’ and Rajasthan’s Growth Journey
Jaipur, Nov 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma on Monday held a one-to-one virtual interaction with India and overseas chapters of the Rajasthani diaspora from the Chief Minister’s Office through video conferencing. He urged the chapter presidents to encourage Non-Resident Rajasthanis (NRRs) in their regions to participate in Rajasthan’s social and economic development activities and to join the Pravasi Rajasthani Day celebrations scheduled for 10 December.
The Chief Minister said that the state government has strengthened the diaspora chapters. Today, presidents have been appointed for 26 chapters worldwide, and all are actively functioning. Their executive committees have also been approved. He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is working with commitment to achieve the vision of Viksit Rajasthan 2047. In the past two years, an unprecedented investment-friendly environment has been created in the state. During the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024, MoUs worth ₹35 lakh crore were signed, out of which ₹7 lakh crore have already entered the ground-breaking stage—about 20% of the total MoUs.
He stated that the government is fully committed to the welfare of Non-Resident Rajasthanis. Additional District Collectors have been appointed as nodal officers in every district to resolve their issues. A dashboard has been created after identifying gap areas across districts so that NRRs can easily contribute to philanthropic initiatives in their villages, towns, and districts. The Chief Minister added that during Pravasi Rajasthani Day, the government will present Pravasi Rajasthani Samman and honour diaspora members who have made remarkable contributions in various fields.
Shri Sharma further said that the state government has recently established the Department of National and International NRR Affairs. This department will serve as a strong platform for communication and collaboration between the diaspora and the government, strengthening their connection with their homeland. Through various activities, it will also promote the Brand Rajasthan identity on the global stage.
During the video conference, chapter presidents said that under the Chief Minister’s leadership, Rajasthan is progressing rapidly on the path of development. They expressed enthusiasm for contributing to the state’s growth and encouraging investments. They added that Pravasi Rajasthani Day will provide a golden opportunity for the diaspora to reconnect with their roots. The chapters also thanked the Chief Minister for establishing the Department of National and International NRR Affairs.
Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas and officials of concerned departments were present. Country and state nodal officers, along with diaspora state coordinators, joined the meeting through video conferencing.
