Divyang Amol’s ‘Golden’ Flight Inspires All; CM Devendra Fadnavis Praises
Nagpur, Dec 2025 : Born with both legs partially disabled, Amol often wondered how he would move forward in life. Unsure of what to do, he has now taken an inspiring leap by winning a gold medal in a sports competition, serving as a motivation for others. Amol gratefully credits Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ speech for instilling in him the determination that, despite having partially disabled legs, he could achieve something significant.
Amol hails from Walni village in Nagpur district and came to Nagpur for his education. Although both his legs were partially disabled from birth, Ayurvedic treatment strengthened one leg significantly by the age of ten. However, because one leg remained weak, he was often called “lame,” which deeply hurt him. This motivated him to achieve something extraordinary in life. Listening to CM Fadnavis’ speech gave him the direction he needed.
This year, Amol represented India in the Disabled Sports Competition in Thailand, winning a gold medal in weightlifting. Over the years, he has earned medals in various sports including weightlifting and arm wrestling, both nationally and internationally. One of his legs is fitted with a caliper from the waist down to support movement.
Thanks to consistent encouragement from CM Fadnavis, Amol is now a successful entrepreneur, providing employment to hundreds of young people. Over 500 differently-abled individuals have regained their ability to stand on their own through his efforts.
Through his initiative ‘Divyang Samvad’, Amol continues to address challenges faced by the differently-abled. He has also opened a gym in Nagpur to train disabled youth in arm wrestling. Amol says his life is a perfect example of how a single positive speech can transform one’s journey.
