Madhya Pradesh Advancing with Balanced Development and Heritage Conservation: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has emphasised development alongside heritage preservation. During Russian President Shri Vladimir Putin’s recent visit to India, PM Modi gifted him a copy of the Gita published in Russian, exemplifying the concept of development rooted in heritage. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav made these remarks on Saturday while addressing the ‘Viksit Madhya Pradesh@2047: Virasat Bhi, Vikas Bhi’ event organised by Dainik Swadesh Jyoti at Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that over the two decades since 2003, Madhya Pradesh has seen significant progress in development. Irrigation capacity increased from 7.5 lakh hectares to 55 lakh hectares and is advancing toward a 100 lakh hectare target. In the last two years alone, irrigation facilities expanded across 9 lakh hectares, and numerous new medical colleges have opened, increasing their number from just 5 to 39 through the PPP model. He highlighted that Madhya Pradesh is realising PM Shri Modi’s vision of development with heritage, where Lord Shri Ram smiles in Ayodhya, development initiatives are underway at Chitrakoot Dham, and spiritual growth is occurring at Orchha’s Ramraja Sarkar.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced that Indore and Bhopal will be developed as metropolitan areas with ongoing infrastructure projects, including the metro trains. Significant development work is underway in the state, with initiatives to start projects worth nearly 8 lakh crore rupees and provide employment to 6 lakh people.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav praised ‘Dainik Swadesh Jyoti’ for its tradition of clean journalism. He released the special issue ‘Virasat Bhi-Vikas Bhi’ published by the newspaper.
