State Government commited to Ensure Every Behna Receives Scheme Benefits : CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav affirmed the state government’s unwavering commitment to empowering women and ensuring that the benefits of all government schemes reach even the poorest of the poor sisters. In Indian culture, sisters are cherished and revered within families, seen as symbols of good fortune. They have the ability to fulfill family responsibilities with the same love, affection, and values as their parents.The Council of Ministers has decided to celebrate Raksha Bandhan, a festival symbolizing the deep respect and affection for sisters, with great enthusiasm. On August 10, programs will be organized at 25,000 locations across the state, and with a single click, Rs 1,250 and Rs 250 will be directly deposited into the accounts of Ladli Behnas as a special Raksha Bandhan gift. Dr. Yadav assured that no scheme will be discontinued by the state government; rather, all the schemes and programs outlined in the Sankalp Patra will be implemented. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the event with a traditional kanya pujan ceremony and the lighting of the lamp. Upon his arrival at the venue, women sarpanches warmly welcomed him by showering flowers and singing auspicious songs. Dr. Yadav highlighted that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has introduced numerous schemes and programs aimed at making the lives of sisters easier and more joyful. As part of these efforts, the Prime Minister Ujjwala Yojana was launched to provide cooking gas connections to every household. Further supporting this initiative, the state government has announced that Ladli Behnas and Ujjwala beneficiaries will receive gas cylinders at a subsidized rate of Rs 450. Currently, the 500th year of the birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati is going on. The Mahila Sarpanch Sammelan, a symbol of women empowerment, has been organized in the memory of Rani Durgavati. He said that after Raksha Bandhan, the festival of Janmashtami follows. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan,’ is being initiated inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He urged all Sarpanches to ensure that the tricolor is proudly hoisted on every house within their Panchayats. Dr. Yadav emphasized that this campaign would serve as a heartfelt tribute to the freedom fighters and revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence. He encouraged everyone to celebrate the Tiranga campaign with the same pride and dignity as the national festivals of August 15th and January 26th, making it a symbol of national pride in every home.Reduce unnecessary expenses and invest family resources in children’s education
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav called on all sisters to make a commitment on Raksha Bandhan to curb unnecessary expenses within their families. He advised avoiding extravagant expenditures on events like Tehravin and Mrityu Bhoj, and encouraged simplicity in wedding celebrations. Dr. Yadav highlighted the issue of people taking loans or selling property for such occasions and stressed the importance of raising awareness to prevent these situations. By discouraging lavish spending and participating in mass marriage programs, families can preserve their resources. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Prahlad Patel said that there are 23 thousand 11 panchayats in the state and the number of women sarpanches is 12 thousand 920, which is more than 50 percent. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav taking the initiative to celebrate Raksha Bandhan festival by inviting sisters to his residence is a symbol of his sensitivity, respect and affection towards his sisters. Priyanka Panika of Sidhi shared their experiences related to the implementation of rural development and public welfare programs going on in their panchayats. It may be noted that Kumari Lakshika Dagar is the youngest Sarpanch of the state and she has done special work in the field of health and education in her Panchayat. Smt. Kamla Devi Choudhary gave information about self-help groups, Smt. Pushp Lata Jharwade about digital transactions and sexual exploitation and Smt. The Mahila Sarpanch Sammelan organized at the Chief Minister’s residence was based on the month of Sawan. The swings were specially installed for the Behnas. Special arrangements were made for the sisters to apply henna. Incorporating modernity with tradition, a selfie point was also made at the venue. In the Sammelan, stalls were also decorated especially for the display and sale of products prepared by women entrepreneurs. Amidst the melodious songs of Sawan, the entire program became a cultural and family programme.
