Chief Secretary Inaugurates Core Committee on Traffic Management

Aizawl, December 2025: Today, Mizoram Chief Secretary Mr. Khilli Ram Meena inaugurated the Core Committee on Traffic Management at the Chief Secretary Conference Hall, MINECO. The committee has been constituted to ensure smooth traffic management in Aizawl city during the upcoming Christmas celebrations.

At the inauguration, the Unified Transport Coordination Committee (UTCC) Chairman and the Municipal Commissioner of Aizawl Municipal Corporation (AMC) were present and participated in the proceedings.

Key points discussed include:

1. The Superintendent of Police, Traffic Aizawl, has issued a public notice (No. RO/TRF/SP-Noti-7/08/510 dated July 25, 2025) regarding traffic arrangements. During Christmas festivities in Aizawl city, designated areas will be strictly monitored and regulated to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety.
2. On December 23, 24, and 31, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, the area from Chanmari to Zodin Square will be declared a No Vehicle Zone.
