Meta Names Aman Jain as New Head of Public Policy in India
New Delhi, Dec 2025 : Meta India has announced the appointment of Aman Jain as its new Head of Public Policy, marking a significant addition to the tech giant’s leadership team in one of its most important global markets. Jain, who brings more than 20 years of experience across government engagement, technology policy, and corporate strategy, will assume his role early next year.
In this position, Jain will report directly to Simon Milner, Meta’s Vice President of Policy for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. He will also join Meta India’s leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making at a time when India’s digital transformation continues to accelerate.
Meta said in a statement that Jain’s extensive background in public policy and technology makes him well-positioned to guide the company’s regulatory and policy efforts in India. His career spans leadership positions at global technology leaders such as Google and Amazon, as well as experience working alongside government bodies and international organisations.
At Google India, Jain held several key leadership roles, including Country Head for Government Affairs and Public Policy, where he oversaw initiatives related to digital adoption, regulatory frameworks, and market growth. Most recently, he served as Director of Public Policy at Amazon. There, he led critical policy strategies across marketplace operations, competition issues, and emerging technology sectors.
Welcoming Jain to the organisation, Simon Milner emphasised India’s role as a rapidly expanding digital market. With the country witnessing exponential growth in artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and the creator economy, Milner said Meta sees significant potential to foster a more secure, inclusive, and future-ready digital ecosystem.
He noted that Jain’s arrival comes at a crucial time, as Meta continues to deepen engagement with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders. Jain’s leadership, Milner added, will be instrumental in shaping Meta’s policy direction not only in India but also within the broader APAC region.
Milner further highlighted that Meta is committed to supporting India’s digital ambitions while ensuring the development of a trusted online environment. Jain’s strong track record in navigating complex policy landscapes, he said, will strengthen the company’s ability to contribute meaningfully to India’s evolving internet economy.
With Jain stepping into his new role early next year, Meta is preparing to enhance its collaboration with government and industry partners, reinforcing its commitment to India’s growing digital future.
