State-of-the-Art Archery Academy to Come Up in Jashpur

Raipur, Dec 2025 : Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Jashpur district has received another major boost in sports infrastructure with the approval to build a state-of-the-art archery academy in Pandara Path, Bagicha Development Block. The ambitious project has been sanctioned ₹20.53 crore through CSR funding from NTPC Limited.

World-Class Training for Young Archers
The new archery academy will provide rural and tribal youth of the district access to world-class training, modern equipment, and top-notch facilities including hostels, indoor and outdoor ranges. The initiative aims to prepare athletes for national and international competitions, positioning Jashpur as a hub for archery talent in the country. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai’s commitment to nurturing sports talent and providing pathways to global platforms is exemplified through this project.

The academy is expected to not only enhance the sporting profile of Jashpur but also serve as an excellent training center for young archers across India. This initiative is considered a major step in promoting sports development and preparing talented athletes to compete at the international level.

Financial Support from NTPC CSR
NTPC Limited will provide financial assistance for the construction under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Proposed facilities include outdoor and air-conditioned indoor archery ranges, a high-performance training center, and a hostel for athletes.
