Deputy CM Diya Kumari Highlights 2-Year Achievements, Flags Off Development Rath in Ajmer
Jaipur, December 2025 : On the occasion of completing two years of the state government’s tenure, as part of the district-level program series, Deputy Chief Minister and Ajmer district in-charge minister Diya Kumari held a press briefing on the achievements of the state government over the past two years. She also flagged off development raths from the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College campus to promote government schemes and welfare programs across six assembly constituencies of Ajmer district.
Diya Kumari said that no previous government had presented its report card to the public in this manner. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government’s announcements are being implemented on the ground. She informed that work orders worth ₹26,000 crore have been issued under the Ramjalseyu Link project, and the DPR of the Yamuna Canal project is being prepared.
She added that under the Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit, MOUs worth ₹35 lakh crore have been signed, of which approximately 25% have already seen ground-breaking. In the last two years, 22 new policies have been launched and implemented.
The Deputy CM said that on 10 December, during the Pravasi Rajasthan Diwas, migrants were encouraged to invest in the state. The state government has been continuously working to provide employment opportunities to youth. In the last two years, 90,000 youth have been employed, and 1.5 lakh recruitments are in process. To make recruitment transparent, a special investigation team has been formed to probe cases like paper leaks. In the last two years, 296 exams were conducted with no paper leak incidents.
She said that prioritizing women’s safety, women’s police stations and anti-romeo squads have been formed. Crime rates in the state have significantly declined, including crimes against women and backward classes.
Highlighting women’s empowerment, she said that under the Prime Minister Matru Vandana Yojana, around 9 lakh women benefited, and the scheme amount was increased to ₹6,500. One lakh bicycles and 39,000 scooters were distributed to girls. For women’s self-reliance, 19 lakh women were trained, and 12 lakh women became “Lakhpati Didi.”
She added that the honorarium of Anganwadi workers has been increased. Under the Chief Minister Amrit Aahar scheme, children are provided warm milk five days a week. One thousand new Anganwadi centers have been approved, and ₹50 crore have been allocated this year for repairing old centers, marking the first extensive repairs in 50 years.
For livelihood enhancement, 2 lakh self-help groups were provided ₹660 crore. Over 20,000 Anganwadi workers were given smartphones. The grant for Annapurna kitchens has been increased to ₹22 per plate. Disabled women receive ₹10,000 for their first child.
The Deputy CM said that a proposal will be sent to the central government to include the Pushkar Corridor as an iconic destination. The state has created a favorable environment for large events; the IIFA Awards were successfully held in Jaipur. Local employment opportunities were generated through film shoots in Devmali village. State tourism, film policies, RIPS-2024, and other policies have been implemented. Rajasthan Tourism Development Board was established with a ₹5,000 crore budget for the tourism sector.
She said the state’s power generation capacity increased from 6,363 MW to 30,525 MW. Under PM-KUSUM, 2,000 MW capacity was added. Roads were developed with ₹27,238 crore expenditure in two years. Under the plantation campaign, around 18 crore saplings were distributed. Under the Farmer Honor Fund, ₹10,400 crore were transferred to 76 lakh farmers via DBT.
CM’s Ayushman Arogya, Ma Voucher, and Gopal Credit Card schemes are being effectively implemented. Over 3,000 borewells and 6,000 handpumps were installed for water supply. She emphasized that the government is committed to the upliftment of women, farmers, youth, and workers.
Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani said that under CM Bhajanlal Sharma, Ajmer is continuously achieving new dimensions of progress. Announcements are taking shape, exemplified by the inauguration of the Ayurveda hospital. Land has been allocated to three companies in the IT Park. Development is ongoing for Entry Plaza, Stadium, Leopard Safari, and other projects. Five crore rupees were approved for a museum. Roads and drains projects worth hundreds of crores are underway in each assembly constituency.
Union State Minister of Agriculture & Farmer Welfare Bhagirath Chaudhary said that under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership, the country is progressing rapidly. The state government has achieved remarkable progress in medicine, education, drinking water, and agriculture in two years. The CM increased the Farmer Honor Fund amount to ₹9,000. The ERCP project will improve water supply and irrigation, increasing farmers’ income.
MLA Anita Bhadel said that the state government ensures benefits reach citizens on time, with inaugurations alongside announcements. Long-pending bridge and underbridge works were completed. Each assembly constituency was allocated ₹60 crore for drainage and sewage issues. Under the PM Housing Scheme, over 1,600 economically weaker families received homes.
Flagging Off Development Raths:
Diya Kumari said development raths will bring information about government achievements and schemes to remote villages and hamlets. She directed close monitoring of the raths and adherence to the prescribed routes.
Road Safety Pledge:
During the program, the minister flagged off the road safety rally organized by the Transport Department. Drivers took a road safety pledge, and helmets were distributed.
