“Industry Minister Dewangan’s Efforts Bring Breakfast to Government Schools Starting Tomorrow”

Due to the special efforts of Industry Minister Shri Lakhan Lal Devangan, children in government schools will also get nutritious breakfast before mid-day meal from Monday. This is going to start from Monday.

The State’s Commerce Industry and Labor Minister Mr. Lakhan Lal Devangan will participate in the launch program of nutritious breakfast organized at the Government Primary and Secondary School located at NTPC Jamnipali. In the first phase, the benefits of this scheme are being started in Korba Assembly and Podi Uparda Block.

It is worth noting that in the new National Education Policy, there is also a proposal to make a provision to provide free breakfast to children in government or aided schools along with mid-day meal. Under this, school children are to be given a nutritious breakfast as soon as they reach school. It is going to start from Korba district in the state. Last month, Minister Shri Dewangan had also written a letter to the district administration in this regard. Now more than 40 thousand children are going to get the benefit of this scheme. With the start of this scheme, the mental and physical development of school children will be able to happen even faster.

In the first phase, a scheme to provide nutritious breakfast before mid-day meal is being started in 409 primary and 141 pre-secondary schools of Podi Uparoda development block, 71 primary and 38 pre-secondary schools of Korba development block, 45 primary and 16 pre-secondary schools of Katghora development block.
