MSPCC Signs Agreements With Ddk Aizawl & IDBI

Aizawl, December 2025: The Mizoram State Policy Coordination Committee (MSPCC) held a meeting today at the Planning & Programme Implementation Department Committee Room. In this meeting, the MSPCC signed Memorandums of Agreement (MoA) with Doordarshan Kendra (DDK) Aizawl and the Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) to strengthen cooperation under the Mizoram flagship programme ‘Bana Kaih Scheme’.

Today’s MSPCC meeting was chaired by Dr. K.C. Lalmalsawmzauva, Adviser to the Chief Minister (Handholding). Speaking at the meeting, he highlighted the significant efforts made by MSPCC members to ensure the smooth and successful implementation of the Bana Kaih flagship programme. He stated that the project is crucial for the progress and development of Mizoram, and urged all stakeholders present to remain committed.

During the programme, the MSPCC executed a Memorandum of Agreement with DDK Aizawl to collaborate on policy dissemination and promotional activities relating to Bana Kaih. This MoA will remain effective for three months (January to March 2026). The MSPCC also signed an MoA with IDBI to expand access to the Bana Kaih Scheme and extend financial assistance to more beneficiaries.

In today’s meeting, various updates regarding the progress of different components under the Bana Kaih Scheme were reviewed. Issues raised by Progress Partners were evaluated, and discussions were held on submitted project proposals and concept papers. The committee also discussed the process of submitting loan applications through different departments and reviewed challenges faced by applicants.

Nodal Officers from partnering banks were instructed to submit progress reports regularly and maintain ongoing communication. According to the banking updates received, under Phase I of the Bana Kaih Scheme, loans have already been sanctioned to 47 beneficiaries through SBI, 218 through MRB, and 39 through MCAB. Phase II is underway, with 13 loans sanctioned through Mizoram Khadi & Village Industries Board (MKVIB) and 1 through Sports & Youth Services (S&YS), totalling 14 new approvals. Additionally, 45 applications have been approved under the Chief Minister’s Special Package Grant.

The meeting was attended by MSPCC members including Pu Lalmalsawma Pachuau, IRS, Secretary, Planning & Programme Implementation Department, and officials from the Handholding Scheme — Pu Lalfakzuala (CEO), Pu Neng Thianlala (Dy. CEO), and Pi Lalhriatpuii Phutin (Asst. CEO) — along with other officials.
