Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that in line with the resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to the welfare of every section of society, including the poor, farmers, youth and women. He said that under the guidance of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is expanding medical facilities in Madhya Pradesh while overcoming various challenges. Earlier, establishing medical colleges was a challenging process. However, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the introduction of the National Medical Commission of India has significantly simplified the system.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that up to 2002–03 there were only five medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh, whereas at present, 19 government and 14 private medical colleges are functioning in the state. Bhoomi Poojan will be performed for 4 new medical colleges in Betul, Dhar, Katni and Panna. Eight new Ayurvedic colleges offering BAMS education are being established within a year. In line with the ‘Sankalp Patra’, medical colleges will be made available across all 29 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state. He further stated that very soon, every district of Madhya Pradesh will have a medical college. The state government is increasing not only allopathic but also Ayurvedic, Homoeopathic and Unani colleges, and medical facilities are being extended to remote rural and tribal areas.  Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed these views while addressing the ‘Aarogya Seva Sankalp Sammelan’ organised at the Chief Minister’s residence on Thursday.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the state government stands firmly with the children of Madhya Pradesh. Assistance of ₹16.50 lakh per year is being provided for poor and needy students pursuing MBBS. The endeavour is that every child of the state becomes a capable citizen. He appealed to young doctors to come forward and serve society as true sentinels of democracy, and stressed that collective efforts are essential for building a strong and healthy nation.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the state government has merged the School Education and Public Health & Family Welfare departments to strengthen public health management and improve medical services. The government, he added, is resolutely working for the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth and women. The state government has provided ₹207 crore to 8,000 medical students, enabling them to focus on honing their abilities without the burden of tuition fees.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that Ayurveda is a system of medicine capable of diagnosing diseases through pulse examination. Nature, he remarked, always looks after all living beings; wherever a disease emerges, medicines in the form of plants are available within a radius of 20 to 25 kilometres. Recalling Patanjali Yoga Shastra, he said that five vital energies (prāṇa) are mentioned in the human body, and that the same cosmic power present in the universe exists within the individual. With effort and hard work, any goal can be achieved. During the COVID period, he said, the world witnessed the power of India’s Ayurvedic ‘Kadha’. Ayurvedic physicians took the lead in providing healthcare services during that challenging time.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that tribal heroes have always rendered exemplary service to the nation, and their contributions remain unparalleled. He recalled that Rani Durgavati, Rani Avantibai, Raja Shankar Shah, Raghunath Shah and Tantya Mama brought glory to the tribal legacy through their valour. He reiterated that the state government is committed to ensuring development in tribal areas and providing healthcare, education and employment. He urged students to dedicate their services to tribal regions.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav honoured Dr. Mukesh Tilgam, Dr. Rajesh Dabar, Dr. Mahila Dabar, “Seva Ankur” President Dr. Ashwini, Dr. Hitesh and Dr. Abhay Ohri for their services in tribal areas. He also distributed ‘Aarogya Kits’ to medical officers working in tribal regions. These kits contain life-saving medicines and essential diagnostic equipment, and more than 8,000 such medical kits are being provided across the state. A video film focused on the activities of the Seva Ankur organisation was also screened on the occasion.
