Call for Applications for Public Ganeshotsav Mandal Competition – Collector Rajendra Kshirsagar

Mumbai : The Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs has announced that this year’s best public Ganeshotsav mandals will be awarded by the government. Public Ganeshotsav mandals interested in participating in the competition must submit their applications online to P.L. Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy, Mumbai, at mahotsav.plda@gmail.com by August 31, 2024. Mumbai Suburban Collector Rajendra Kshirsagar has urged all interested mandals to apply before the deadline.

The Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs is organizing a competition for public Ganeshotsav mandals during the 2024 Ganeshotsav. A district-level committee has been established to oversee the competition, assess the participating mandals, and submit their proposals to the government based on scores and feedback. The committee will personally visit each Ganeshotsav mandal’s festival site to evaluate them. Each participating mandal will be graded, and the committee will then submit their names, along with all required documents and videos, to the State Committee. Further instructions regarding the results will be provided later.
