The role of the real estate sector is extremely important in realizing PM Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India – CM Bhupendra Patel

In construction, promote ‘Made in India’, and let buildings reflect India’s heritage and culture – Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said:

  • Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat has become a development role model, including well-planned urban development.
  • Gujarat has become an investment hub for major developers due to systems like the single-window clearance system, digital land records, and time-bound permissions.

Addressing the National Conclave of CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India) held in Delhi, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that the real estate sector has a crucial role in fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India.

He stated that the contribution of the real estate sector will be significant in realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of India becoming a developed nation by 2047.

Speaking a week before the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Chief Minister said that Vajpayee laid the foundation for good governance and 21st-century India, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has rapidly advanced it to create a strong base for development.

Referring to India as the most populous nation and the goal of ‘Housing for All’, he said that the Prime Minister is determined to ensure that even the poorest have a proper home. The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is an important step in this direction. To achieve this goal, he urged CREDAI and leaders of the real estate sector to work in collaboration with the central and state governments.

Highlighting the special role of real estate developers, the Chief Minister said that real estate is not merely land or buildings, but a place where families’ dreams reside, businesses thrive, and people improve their lives collectively.

Appealing to developers, he said that homes should reflect Indian identity. While foreign technology can inspire, the design should remain Indian. Construction should carry the essence of ‘Made in India’, and buildings should reflect India’s heritage and culture.

Emphasizing sustainability and innovation, the Chief Minister said it is necessary to construct environmentally-friendly homes, offices, and government buildings. New research and innovations must be encouraged, and farsighted planning is required to manage resources amid increasing urbanization.

Referring to Gujarat’s development, he said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership over the past 25 years, Gujarat has become a model for well-planned urban development and is also the most urbanized state in India.

Developers have been attracted to invest in Gujarat due to systems like the single-window clearance system, digital land records, and time-bound permissions. By promoting green buildings, renewable energy, water conservation, and waste management, Gujarat has become a preferred destination for real estate investment.

Mentioning GIFT City and Dholera Smart City, he said these iconic projects have emerged due to the Prime Minister’s vision. Dholera is developing over 920 sq. km., attracting industries like semiconductors, aerospace, and defense. Work on the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway and greenfield airport is in its final stages.

Due to Prime Minister Modi’s vision, GIFT City has developed plug-and-play infrastructure, ensuring business players have ready facilities upon arrival.

The Chief Minister said that a developed India should symbolize self-reliance, ease of doing business, and ease of living, integrating innovation, technology, and sustainability. He urged everyone associated with real estate to create livable, lovable, sustainable, and future-ready cities.

CREDAI Chairman Boman Irani, President Shekhar Patel, President-Elect G. Ram Reddy, and representatives from CREDAI chapters across various states attended this national conclave.
