Kolkata Metro Railways Announces Special Services On Christmas – 25th December

Kolkata ; December 2025: On 25.12.2025 (Thursday), Metro Railway has decided to operate special services in Blue Line and Green Line.

BLUE LINE –

For the convenience of the commuters on 25.12.2025, Metro is going to operate services late night in Blue Line. The last service from Shahid Khudiram will leave at 22.30 hours and the last service from Dakshineswar will leave at 22.23 hours on that day.

Metro services will be operated at every 07 minutes interval from 14:40 hours to 20:30 hours on that day in this Corridor.

 06:50 hours in Blue Line on that day, which is a holiday and 224 services (112 UP and 112 DN) will be operated over the entire stretch of this Corridor instead of 272 services.

At 06:50 hours from Noapara to Shahid Khudiram (No Change)

At 06:50 hours from Shahid Khudiram to Dakshineswar (Instead of 06.54 hours)

At 06:55 hours from Dakshineswar to Shahid Khudiram (No Change)

At 06:55 hours from Mahanayak Uttam Kumar to Dakshineswar (No Change)

Last Service: –

At 22:23 hours from Dakshineswar to Shahid Khudiram (instead of 21.28 hours)

At 22:20 hours from Shahid Khudiram to Dakshineswar (instead of 21.33 hours)

At 22:30 hours from Shahid Khudiram to Dum Dum (instead of 21.43 hours)

02 Direct Metro Services from Jai Hind Bimanbandar to Shahid Khudiram via Noapara will be available on that day as usual.

GREEN LINE –

Metro will operate 201 services (101 UP & 100 DN) from 06:39 hours to 22.20 hours instead of 228 daily services. Metro services will be operated at every 06 minutes interval from 16:25 hours to 20:30 hours on that day in this Corridor.

At 06:39 hours from Salt Lake Sector V to Howrah Maidan (No Change)

At 06.45 hours from Howrah Maidan V to Salt Lake Sector V (No Change)

Last Service:

At 21.55 hours from Salt Lake Sector V to Howrah Maidan (No Change)

At 21.55 hours from Howrah Maidan to Salt Lake Sector V (No Change)

At 22:05 hours from Howrah Maidan to Central Park (No Change)

At 22:20 hours from Howrah Maidan to Central Park (01 additional service on that day)

Normal services will be available in Yellow Line, Purple Line and Orange Line on that day.
