“Telangana Secures Hyundai’s Mega Test Center, Boosting EV Future!”

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu, recently met with Hyundai Motor officials in Seoul, South Korea, to explore investment opportunities aimed at bolstering the state’s economy. During the meeting, CM Reddy highlighted Telangana’s commitment to attracting major investments from global leaders and discussed the state’s industry-friendly environment.

Chief Minister Reddy announced that Hyundai Motor Company, through its subsidiary Hyundai Motor India Engineering Pvt Ltd. (HMIE), is planning to establish a car testing facility in Telangana. He emphasized that the state’s progressive policies, world-class infrastructure, and streamlined permission systems have made it an attractive destination for top-tier companies like HMIE to do business.

Following the discussions, HMIE revealed plans to set up a large Mega Test Center in Telangana. This center will feature an automated test track and a cutting-edge test car manufacturing facility, including electric vehicles (EVs). The establishment of this center is anticipated to attract additional affiliates and suppliers, thereby generating significant direct and indirect employment opportunities in the region.

In addition to this new project, HMIE is also expanding its operations by renovating and modernizing its existing engineering center in Hyderabad. This expansion aims to create more employment opportunities not only in India but also across the Asia-Pacific region. HMIE expressed their appreciation to CM Reddy for supporting the development of these state-of-the-art facilities, reaffirming their commitment to India and the vision for a sustainable future in Telangana.
