2nd UP International Trade Show to welcome buyers from 72 countries
Lucknow : Buyers from 72 countries will attend the second edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show, with approximately 400 already registered by August 9. These participants represent ten regions, from Europe to Oceania and Africa, and over 500 international buyers are anticipated.
The event, set to take place from September 25 to 29 at the expansive India Exposition Mart in Greater Noida, promises to be a grand spectacle, even grander than its 2023 predecessor, with preparations already underway by the Yogi government. The scale and grandeur of this event are sure to excite and entice you.
So far, the UP International Trade Show has attracted participants from a diverse range of regions. The highest representation comes from Africa, with 14 countries registered. Europe, the West Asia, and North Africa (WANA) regions have 12 countries involved. The Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region has eight countries. In comparison, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) has 7. Five countries represent Southeast Asia (SEA), and both South Africa (SA) and Northeast Asia (NEA) have four countries each. North America (NAFTA) and Oceania each have three countries.
When it comes to buyers, the WANA region stands out with the largest contingent, boasting 75 buyers. This is followed by 50 buyers each from the CIS, Africa, and South Africa. The LAC region has 35 buyers, while Northeast Asia (NEA) and Southeast Asia (SEA) each have 20 buyers, and NAFTA has 18 buyers.
The UP International Trade Show is generating significant national and international excitement, with increased participation expected for this year’s event. The number of exhibitors is set to rise from 2,000 in 2023 to 2,500 in 2024.
Visitor numbers are also projected to grow, with 100,000 expected for Business-to-Business (B2B) interactions, up from 70,000 last year, and 350,000 for Business-to-Consumer (B2C) interactions, compared to 237,000 in 2023. Additionally, the show anticipates the emergence of 125,000 new business opportunities, up from 100,000 in the previous edition.
The UP International Trade Show is not just a platform for a single industry, but a vital global platform for entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and exporters across various sectors. These include major industries, IT/ITES, MSMEs, startups, education, agriculture, health, tourism, culture, energy, and the state’s One District One Product (ODOP) initiative.
