Kolkata Metro Railways To Run 160 Services In Blue Line And 124 Services In Green Line On Four Consecutive Sundays.

Kolkata; January 2026: Kolkata Metro Railways have decided to operate special services for the benefit of the commuters in Blue Line and Green Line, on four consecutive Sundays i.e., 04.01.2026, 11.01.2026, 18.01.2026 and 25.01.2026,

Blue Line – Metro will run 160 (80 UP + 80 DN) services in the Blue Line instead of 130 services. In Blue Line, services will be available at 08 mins intervals from 15:20 hours to 19:20 hours instead of 10 mins intervals on these Sundays.

First Service:

  • At 09:00 hours from Dakshineswar to Shahid Khudiram (No Change)
  • At 09:00 hours from Shahid Khudiram to Dakshineswar (No Change)
  • At 09:00 hours  from Noapara to Shahid Khudiram (No Change)

Last Service:

  • At 21:33 hours from Dakshineswar to Shahid Khudiram (No Change)
  • At 21:33 hours from Shahid Khudiram to Dakshineswar (Instead of 21:30 hours)
  • At 21:44 hours from Shahid Khudiram to Dum Dum (Instead of 21:43 hours)

Green Line – Metro will run 124 (62 UP + 62 DN) services in the Green Line instead of 108 services. In Green Line, services will be available at 10 mins intervals instead of 15 mins intervals from 16.02 hours to 20.30 hours on these Sundays.

First Service:

  • At 09.02 hours from Salt Lake Sector V to Howrah Maidan (No Change).
  • At 09.00 hours from Howrah Maidan to Salt Lake Sector V (No change).
  • At 09:00 hours from City Center to Howrah Maidan (No Change).

Last Service:

  • At 21:55 hours from Salt Lake Sector V to Howrah Maidan (No Change).
  • At 21:55 hours from Howrah Maidan to Salt Lake Sector V (No Change).
  • At 22:05 hours from Howrah Maidan to Central Park (No Change).

Normal services will be available on Yellow Line on these Sundays.

No services will be available in Orange Line and Purple Line as usual on these Sundays.
