“Hind-di-Chadar” Arambhata Ki Ardas Ceremony Concludes in Nanded on 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahibji
Nanded, Jan 2026 : The “Hind-di-Chadar” initiative, organized to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahibji, held its inaugural ritual, ‘Arambhata Ki Ardas’, today at the Public Works Department ground in Nanded amidst a devotional atmosphere. The groundbreaking ceremony of the main event pavilion was performed by the Panch Pyare of Takht Sachkhand Shri Hazur Sahib Gurudwara.
The event witnessed the presence of saints from diverse communities, including Sikh, Sikhligar, Banjara, Lubana, Sindhi, Mohyal, Valmiki, Bhagat Namdev sect, and Udasi sect.
The formal inauguration of the “Hind-di-Chadar” program was performed by Sant Baba Kulwant Singh Ji, Chief Jathedar of Takht Sachkhand Shri Hazur Sahib Gurudwara, along with Bhai Josinder Singh Ji, Bhai Ram Singh Ji, Bhai Kashmir Singh Ji, Bhai Gurmeet Singh Ji, and Sant Baba Balwinder Singh Ji of Gurudwara Langar Sahib.
Also present at the ceremony were Babu Singh Maharaj (Legislative Council Member, Pohradevi), District Collector Rahul Kardile, Superintendent of Police Abhinash Kumar, Deputy Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kiran Ambekar, Tehsildar Sanjay Warkad, as well as coordinators and members of the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary Committee, including Rameshwar Naik, Mahant Sunil Maharaj, Mahant Jitendra Maharaj, Dr. Vijay Satbir Singh, Sarjit Singh Gill, and other regional and state committee members.
Coordinator Rameshwar Naik stated that through the main events on January 24 and 25, the glorious history of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahibji’s sacrifice will be presented to society. The initiative is being implemented jointly by the Minority Development Department and nine communities. He noted that a similar grand event was successfully held in Nagpur on December 7, and following that model, this historical program has been organized in Nanded.
It was emphasized that even after the event, extensive public awareness campaigns will continue to ensure that the history and sacrifice of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahibji reach the masses.
Dr. Vijay Satbir Singh, Administrator of the Gurudwara Board, expressed gratitude to the government for successfully organizing the Nagpur event and highlighted that programs will also be held in Nanded and Navi Mumbai. He stated that the purpose of these events is to commemorate the sacrifice of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahibji and transmit this glorious history to future generations. Citizens were urged to participate in large numbers.
In preparation for the main program on Sunday, January 25, 2026, the district administration has expedited planning and pre-arrangements, ensuring that security, traffic management, and event site arrangements are fully in place. A review of tasks assigned to government and non-government members was conducted today at the District Collector’s office in the presence of Mahendra Rai Chura, head of the regional Dharmajagran Committee.
Through these initiatives, the legacy of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahibji’s martyrdom will continue to inspire devotion, unity, and awareness across generations.
