Grand State-Level Women Entrepreneurs Conference Held at Jodhpur Handicrafts Festival

Jaipur, January 2026 : Under the joint auspices of the Jodhpur district administration, Laghu Udyog Bharati, the District Industries and Commerce Centre, and the Institute for Enterprise Promotion, a grand State-Level Women Entrepreneurs Conference was organised on Sunday as part of the Western Rajasthan Industry and Handicrafts Festival–2026. Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari was the chief guest at the conference. Describing the event as a decisive step towards women-led entrepreneurship, self-reliance, and industrial empowerment, she said that when women take charge of entrepreneurship, industry becomes not just a means of business, but a powerful instrument of social transformation.

Congratulating the organisers for holding the conference on the historic land of Jodhpur, the Deputy Chief Minister said that small, cottage, and handicraft industries play a vital role in building a self-reliant economy. Such initiatives, which promote environmental conservation, encourage indigenous products, and provide a platform to local artisans and traders, help in creating a sustainable industrial ecosystem.

She appreciated efforts to connect women entrepreneurs with financial institutions for easy access to credit, product marketing, handicraft exhibitions, resource availability, training, and awareness about new technologies and government schemes. She stressed that women’s participation is a guarantee of success.

Highlighting the importance of women’s leadership in the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Diya Kumari said Rajasthan is not merely a geographical entity, but a land of ideas, culture, and a strong tradition of entrepreneurship, where every district and village has products shaped by the hard work and aspirations of women. She underlined that today’s women are no longer just supporters but leaders, creating opportunities for families, society, and future generations.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, initiatives such as the Mudra Yojana, Startup India, PM Vishwakarma Scheme, and Self-Help Groups have brought women into the mainstream of economic growth. In Rajasthan, under Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, policy stability, administrative transparency, and an industry-friendly environment are being developed at a rapid pace. She noted that “Rising Rajasthan” reflects the state’s readiness for investment, innovation, and women-led growth.

She added that the government’s priority is to provide women with easy loan facilities, skill development, training, safety and healthcare support, digital platforms, and global market access for their products. Motivating women entrepreneurs, she said they are not weak but full of potential, adding that their confidence defines Rajasthan’s identity and their hard work strengthens India.

Expressing confidence in the future, she said the coming years would mark a golden era of women entrepreneurship, and Rajasthan would emerge as a leading state not only in tourism and culture but also in industry and women’s leadership.

Sursagar MLA Devendra Joshi and other officials were present at the event.
