Republic Day 2026 Tickets Now Available via Aamantran Mobile App: Defence Ministry
New Delhi, Jan 2026 : Tickets for the Republic Day celebrations in 2026 can now be purchased through the Aamantran mobile application, the Ministry of Defence announced on Monday, marking another step towards digitising access to major national events.

In a post shared on social media platform X, the Ministry said the Aamantran app will serve as a one-stop platform for booking tickets to key events associated with the Republic Day festivities. These include the Republic Day Parade scheduled for January 26, the full dress rehearsal of the Beating the Retreat ceremony on January 28, and the Beating the Retreat ceremony itself on January 29.
“Tickets for #RepublicDayCelebrations2026 can now be purchased through the Aamantran Mobile App,” the Ministry stated, encouraging citizens to use the digital platform for hassle-free access to the celebrations. The post reiterated that tickets for all three major events—the Republic Day Parade, the Beating the Retreat full dress rehearsal, and the Beating the Retreat ceremony—are available through the app.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the Aamantran mobile app can be downloaded from the government’s official app store hosted on Gov.in. In addition to the mobile application, tickets can also be accessed and booked through the official website, aamantran.mod.gov.in, providing multiple digital options for the public.
Republic Day, celebrated annually on January 26, commemorates the adoption of the Constitution of India in 1950 and stands as one of the most important national events in the country. The celebrations symbolise India’s democratic values, constitutional legacy, and national unity.
The Republic Day Parade, held at Kartavya Path in the national capital, remains the centrepiece of the celebrations. It features vibrant marching contingents from the armed forces and paramilitary forces, colourful tableaux representing states and Union Territories, and impressive displays of military strength and cultural diversity. The event draws thousands of spectators from across the country and is also watched by millions through televised broadcasts.
In addition to the parade, Republic Day celebrations offer citizens an opportunity to witness ceremonial traditions and public participation events that showcase the discipline, heritage, and professionalism of the armed forces and national institutions.
The Beating the Retreat ceremony, traditionally held at Vijay Chowk, marks the formal conclusion of the Republic Day celebrations. The event features stirring performances by military bands from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, creating a solemn yet celebratory atmosphere that brings the festivities to a close.
In recent years, the Ministry of Defence has increasingly adopted digital platforms like the Aamantran app to streamline ticketing processes, enhance transparency, and improve crowd management during large-scale national events. The initiative aims to make access easier for citizens while ensuring better organisation and security during the celebrations.
