Chief Justice of India Lays Foundation Stone of Integrated Court Complex in Chandauli in the Presence of the Chief Minister
The Chief Justice of India laid the foundation stone of an Integrated Court Complex in Chandauli district in the august presence of the Chief Minister.
The foundation stone laying ceremony of the Integrated Court Complex was held physically in Chandauli district and virtually in the districts of Mahoba, Amethi, Shamli, Hathras, and Auraiya.
“Today, temples of justice are being established here. The Chief Minister has announced 10 Integrated Court Complexes in Uttar Pradesh, out of which six are being laid today,” said the Chief Justice of India.
“This initiative will set an example for the entire country. The Integrated Court Complexes will become benchmarks for all of India.
“These Integrated Court Complexes will successfully meet the needs of judicial infrastructure for the next 50 years. For this achievement, the Uttar Pradesh Government and the High Court deserve congratulations.”
“The state government is fully committed to further strengthening judicial facilities to achieve the goal of good governance,” said the Chief Minister.
“Guided by the inspiration of the Prime Minister and the suggestions of Justice Surya Kant, a new chapter is being written today in the history of the judiciary in the state.”
On the sacred land of Shri Kashi Vishwanath and Baba Keenarnath, foundation stones of Integrated Court Complexes are being laid in Chandauli and five other districts.
The Integrated Court Complexes will include residential facilities for judicial officers, chambers for advocates, parking, canteen, and sports facilities.
In the remaining four districts, formalities for the construction of Integrated Court Complexes will be completed in the coming months.
Lucknow, January 2026: Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant laid the foundation stone of the Integrated Court Complex in Chandauli district in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The foundation stone laying ceremony was conducted physically in Chandauli, while similar ceremonies were held virtually in Mahoba, Amethi, Shamli, Hathras, and Auraiya districts.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Justice Justice Surya Kant said that the region is renowned for Baba Swaminath and several historic and religious temples. He said that the Chief Minister has added a new chapter to this rich legacy by establishing “temples of justice” here. He noted that the Chief Minister has announced 10 Integrated Court Complexes in Uttar Pradesh, six of which are being initiated today. This initiative, he said, will set an example for the entire country and serve as a benchmark for judicial infrastructure across India. He added that wherever he travels, he would proudly present Uttar Pradesh as a model and encourage other states to adopt similar facilities.
The Chief Justice said that the Integrated Court Complexes would cater effectively to judicial needs for the next 50 years. Providing essential facilities not only for lawyers but also for common citizens seeking justice is a commendable step. For this initiative, the Uttar Pradesh Government and the High Court deserve appreciation. He also highlighted that the Indian Constitution accords special importance to the district judiciary, as it ensures access to justice by bringing courts closer to the people.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that strengthening the judiciary is essential for strengthening democracy and ensuring easy access to justice for the common man. He emphasized that robust judicial infrastructure is necessary to achieve the goal of good governance and affirmed that the state government is fully committed to strengthening judicial facilities and completing related projects in a time-bound manner.
The Chief Minister recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi initiated several reforms after 2014 to improve ease of doing business and ease of living, along with modernizing national infrastructure. He also referred to Justice Surya Kant’s suggestion during his Prayagraj visit about implementing an Integrated Court Complex model to ensure accessible justice for all citizens.
Taking inspiration from the Prime Minister and Justice Surya Kant’s guidance, the Chief Minister said that a new chapter in the state’s judicial history is being written today. Integrated Court Complexes are being initiated on the sacred land of Shri Kashi Vishwanath and Baba Keenarnath, including Chandauli and five other districts.
He added that the state government has approved the construction of Integrated Court Complexes in 10 districts where district courts did not previously exist. All formalities for six districts, including Chandauli, have been completed. Following the ground-breaking ceremony performed by the Chief Justice of India, construction work will soon begin through L&T, a globally renowned institution. The complexes will include residential facilities for judicial officers, chambers for advocates, parking, canteen, and sports facilities. Construction in the remaining four districts will be taken forward after completing formalities in the coming months.
A short film related to the Integrated Court Complexes was screened during the programme. Supreme Court Judge Justice Vikram Nath and Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court Justice Arun Bhansali also addressed the gathering.
Supreme Court Judges Justice Pankaj Mithal, Justice Manoj Mishra, Justice Rajesh Bindal, Uttarakhand High Court Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta, Allahabad High Court Judges Justice Mahesh Chandra Tripathi and Justice Harveer Singh, along with advocates and other dignitaries, were present on the occasion.
