Kolkata Metro Railway To Run And Continue Special Services Across Multiple Lines.

Kolkata; January 2026: Vide a press release on 21st January 2026; Kolkata Metro Railways have announced to implement the following:

1. Metro To Run Special Services In Blue And Yellow Lines On 23.01.2026 (Friday) –

Metro Railway, Kolkata is going to operate Special Metro Services across Blue Line and Yellow Line on Friday, 23.01.2026 on account of Netaji’s Birthday and Saraswati Puja.

BLUE LINE –

Metro will run 236 (118 UP + 118 DN) services in Blue Line instead of 272 services and 2 UP services from Noapara to Dakshineswar.

First Service:

• At 06:55 hours from Mahanayak Uttam Kumar to Dakshineswar (No Change)
• At 06:55 hours from Dakshineswar to Shahid Khudiram (No Change)
• At 06:54 hours from Shahid Khudiram to Dakshineswar (instead of 06:50 hours)
• At 06:50 hours from Noapara to Shahid Khudiram (No Change)

Last Service:

• At 21:28 hours from Dakshineswar to Shahid Khudiram (No Change)
• At 21:33 hours from Shahid Khudiram to Dakshineswar (Instead of 21:35 hours)
• At 21:43 hours from Shahid Khudiram to Noapara (Instead of 21:44 hours)

YELLOW LINE –

Metro will run 92 (46 UP + 46 DN) services in the Yellow Line instead of 120 services on 23.01.2026.

First Service:

• At 07:18 hours from Noapara to Jai Hind Bimanbandar (No Change).
• At 07:40 hours from Jai Hind Bimanbandar to Noapara (No change).

Last Service:

• At 20:58 hours from Noapara to Jai Hind Bimanbandar (Instead of 21:00 hours).
• At 21:18 hours from Jai Hind Bimanbandar to Noapara (Instead of 21:20 hours).

Normal services will be available on Purple Line and Orange Line on 23.01.2026.

• Metro Will Continue To Run 160 Services For Another Sunday On 01.02.2026 In Blue Line Instead of 130 Services Due To KOLKATA BOOK FAIR –

First Service:

• At 09:00 hours from Dakshineswar to Shahid Khudiram (No Change).
• At 09:00 hours from Shahid Khudiram to Dakshineswar (No Change).
• At 09:00 hours from Noapara to Shahid Khudiram (No Change).

Last Service:

• At 21:33 hours from Dakshineswar to Shahid Khudiram (No Change).
• At 21:33 hours from Shahid Khudiram to Dakshineswar (Instead of 21:30 hours).
• At 21:44 hours from Shahid Khudiram to Dum Dum (Instead of 21:43 hours).

Being a Sunday No Services Will Be Available In Purple And Orange Lines On 01.02.2026.
