CM Bhajanlal Sharma Announces ₹1,590 Crore for Farmers, Women, and Workers on Ram Lalla’s 2nd Anniversary; Gram Utthan Camps Launched
Jaipur, January 2026: On the occasion of the second anniversary of Ram Lalla’s Pran Pratishtha, Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma announced welfare benefits worth ₹1,590 crore for farmers, women, and workers across Rajasthan. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that farmers are the soul of India, and their empowerment is essential for the progress of villages, the state, and the nation. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the welfare of the poor, women, youth, and farmers.
Shri Sharma inaugurated statewide Gram Utthan Camps starting January 23 (Basant Panchami) in every circle across Rajasthan. Farmers and livestock owners were urged to participate actively to access various government welfare schemes at a single location.
Addressing the event in Sirohi, which also marked the transfer of Kisan Samman Nidhi payments, the Chief Minister recalled that two years ago, under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Ram Lalla’s Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya was successfully completed, fulfilling a long-pending cultural demand. On the same day, the PM also launched the “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao” campaign from Panipat, Haryana, promoting women’s empowerment.
Shri Sharma highlighted the schemes being implemented through Gram Utthan Camps, including approvals for irrigation projects, farm ponds, solar pumps, plastic mulch, drips, pipelines, and government welfare programs. Applications under the Kisan Saathi Assistance Scheme, new custom hiring centers, livestock registration under the Mukhyamantri Mangla Pashu Bima Yojana, vaccinations, primary and dairy cooperative registrations, Swamitva card distribution, canal repairs, PM Surya Ghar registrations, and water conservation initiatives under the Vande Ganga Campaign will also be facilitated at these camps.
Over 1 crore beneficiaries, including farmers, women, and workers, received direct benefit transfers totaling ₹1,590 crore. Under the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, more than 65 lakh farmers received over ₹653 crore in the fifth installment. Compensation exceeding ₹327 crore was provided to 5 lakh farmers for crop damage, while 10,000 farmers received ₹240 crore for procurement at MSP. Under the Mukhyamantri Dugdh Utpadak Sambal Yojana, 4 lakh livestock owners received ₹50 crore, and over 30 lakh beneficiaries of the LPG subsidy scheme received ₹75 crore. Housing support under the PM Awas Yojana reached 20,000 beneficiaries, while 1 lakh construction workers received ₹100 crore via DBT. Agricultural equipment worth ₹40 crore was also distributed.
Shri Sharma highlighted that over the past two years, interest-free crop loans totaling ₹50,000 crore have been provided. Initiatives under the PM KUSUM scheme led to the installation of 52,000 solar pump sets with subsidies of ₹822 crore, ensuring daytime electricity in 22 districts. Additional support included a 25% increase in gaushala grants, interest-free loans worth ₹653 crore to Gopalak families, and mobile veterinary care services for livestock owners.
The Chief Minister also noted that the government has created new employment opportunities, with over 1 lakh appointments made, 1.43 lakh recruitments in progress, and a recruitment calendar issued for another 1 lakh positions.
The event included a short film on Gram Utthan Camps and an agricultural exhibition showcasing cooperative initiatives, livestock, FPOs, progressive farmers, agripreneurs, and agri-startups. The Ram Lalla idol was formally worshipped, and tributes were paid to the late Raj K. Purohit, former Maharashtra Cabinet Minister and Rajasthan native. Several dignitaries, including ministers, MLAs, MPs, and thousands of farmers participated both in person and via video conference from across the state.
