Lucknow : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the state’s remarkable achievements during the main event of the 78th Independence Day celebrations, held in front of the Legislative Assembly in Lucknow. He also shared the state’s vision, mission, and commitment with the public.

The Chief Minister expressed pride in having global leader Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a guiding force during this Amrit Kaal and credited the state’s transformation to the mission inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision.

Today, Uttar Pradesh’s rapid transformation is a topic of discussion on national and international platforms, with the world keenly observing its progress.

This New Uttar Pradesh of a New India is now discovering its true self, embracing good governance and development by recognizing its talent, tradition, and potential. The state is focused on respecting faith, tradition, and heritage and driving economic growth.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath underscored the sacrifices made by the nation during the freedom movement, reminding of the selflessness of the freedom fighters. He called upon the citizens to make utmost contributions to make the country ‘Vikskit Bharat’. He pointed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Panch Pran as a guiding light for achieving this goal, urging everyone to embrace the “Nation First” principle and align with the vision of a New Uttar Pradesh in a New India.

CM Yogi emphasized the importance of the ‘Nation First’ principle in the country’s journey towards a developed nation. He expressed confidence that by the time India celebrates its centenary of independence in 2047, it will have become a fully developed nation—one where every citizen experiences happiness, security, and prosperity.

Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh has made significant strides in healthcare. The state has effectively curbed the high incidence of deaths from encephalitis, a disease that once plagued the state during the rainy season, through effective inter-departmental coordination. Uttar Pradesh has also set a national record by distributing 5.11 crore Ayushman cards under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the first state in the country to do so.

The Chief Minister’s Jan Arogya Abhiyan has provided coverage to 1.8 crore families, a testament to his commitment to the well-being of the citizens.

CM Yogi also emphasized Uttar Pradesh’s role in preserving India’s spiritual and cultural heritage.

In 2023, the state attracted 48 crore tourists, the highest number in the country. Remarkable initiatives are being undertaken by the Tirtha Vikas Parishad, with planned development efforts focused on Braj Dham, Vindhya Dham, Naimisharanya, Chitrakoot Dham, Devi Patan, Shukra Tirtha, and Ayodhya Dham. He highlighted the success of the Prayagraj Kumbh in 2019, where high standards were set in cleanliness, security, and organization.

The state government is working diligently to set new records for a grand and divine Maha Kumbh in 2025, CM Yogi asserted.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted that over the past seven years, more than 168 crore trees have been planted in Uttar Pradesh under the “Ped Lagao Paryavaran Bachao Abhiyan.” As part of the Tree Plantation Jan Abhiyan 2024 and the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam Abhiyan,” the state has set a new record by planting over 36.51 crore trees.
