23.4 Bulk Liters of Country Liquor Seized, Two Accused Arrested

Raipur, December 2025: Continuous action is being taken against illegal liquor in Balodabazar district. In this context, the Excise Department team seized a total of 23.4 bulk liters of country liquor, with an estimated market value of ₹11,000.

According to reports, during an operation in Malda village under Kasdol jurisdiction, 18.0 bulk liters of plain country liquor were seized from the possession of accused Rajkumar Sahu, a resident of Malda. The seized liquor has an estimated market value of approximately ₹8,000.

In another operation in Nagpura village under Palari jurisdiction, the Excise Department team seized 5.4 bulk liters of spiced country liquor from the possession of accused Domesh Chandrakar, with an estimated market value of ₹3,000.

Cases against both accused have been registered under the Chhattisgarh Excise Act, and the matter is under investigation.
